I LOVE green juice!
I never thought I would crave kale, but I certainly do!
Every day last week, I craved it. Every day this week, I have craved green juice! Every day that I crave it, I make it!
So, this morning when I finished teaching yoga class, I was ready for a green juice, and this is what I made.
Green Juice Recipe
Organic Kale 5-6 big leaves with stalks
1 Organic Cucumber (peeled if not organic)
1 Lemon (peeled)
1-2 Organic Apples (I love Pink Lady and HoneyCrisp)
Knob of Ginger
This is my basic recipe. Some days I add a head of romaine, or a head of celery. Sometimes, I add a beet! It depends on what I need, and what I have in the fridge. I love the different combos.
When I drink green juice, I feel super healthy! I just imagine all that green goodness supplying my body with the nutrients it needs. I feel like I could leap tall buildings in a single bound. Ok, well, at least I feel like I can tackle my day, and two teenagers!
I have several books that are fabulous resources for juicing, including Kris Carr’s Crazy Sexy Life. She also has a smoothie and juice ebook that is great! Another book that I love is The Big Book of Juices by Natalie Savona.
Go ahead and try it. I think you will like it, and if you don’t, just bring the rest of your batch to me!
We bought our juicier a few weeks ago and love green juice…I sometimes use a lime instead of lemon and 3-4 stalks of celery ….
Glad you are enjoying it!
I have been juicing since I attended Marcy’s juicing class about 1 year ago! I have not tried the lemon, but I will!! I add celery and sometimes carrots and beets. I drink the juice 4 t0 5 days a week for lunch and love how good it makes me feel…good energy and clearer mind:)
And, you look great for it! Awesome benefits to consistent juicing!
Love Marcy!! She is the best at what she does. The green juice is good too 🙂

We became believers during Tony’s bout with cancer about 14 years ago… he swears it may have saved his life! Still find it so hard to understand that there are no nutrition classes for those attending medical school!
Juicing is amazing! After watching Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, my husband and I bought a juicer. Last night, I made a “sweet” juice with beets, carrots, apples, and watermelon. Delicious!
I love adding beets to my juices!
